JUST IN : Buffalo Boosts Offense With Precise Route-Runner

Bills Add Key Piece to Fix Last Season’s Offensive Shortcoming

The Buffalo Bills may have found the missing ingredient for their offense with the addition of wide receiver Joshua Palmer, who could play a more impactful role than expected.

After parting ways with veterans Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins, Buffalo brought in Palmer and Elijah Moore to strengthen their receiving corps. Palmer, a consistent performer with the Los Angeles Chargers, recorded over 500 receiving yards in each of the past three seasons. Now in Buffalo, he brings skills the team sorely missed last year.

According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Palmer fits the mold of what the Bills lacked offensively. “Palmer is exactly what the Bills lacked in their offense last year,” he wrote. “He’s a precise route-runner with a knack for creating separation and has the speed to stretch defenses. That combination could lead to more production than many anticipate.”

His ability to gain separation and get open downfield could prove vital in Joe Brady’s system, especially with Josh Allen looking to recapture his deep-ball effectiveness. With Khalil Shakir manning the slot and rookie Keon Coleman developing on the outside, Palmer’s presence could help unlock the vertical threat that’s been missing.

The Bills have embraced a “share the wealth” approach this offseason, and Palmer could thrive in that environment. Despite never catching more than 39 passes in a season, the expectation is that he will be a bigger part of the game plan with Allen at quarterback.

While there’s talk that Buffalo may still need another receiving weapon to be true contenders, Palmer might already be the solution — bringing the polish, speed, and separation that could elevate the offense to new heights.
