Josh Allen’s Teammate Walks Back After Possibly Revealing Wedding Date With Hailee Steinfeld
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actress Hailee Steinfeld are rumored to be tying the knot soon—but one of Allen’s teammates may have jumped the gun on the details.
Offensive lineman Dion Dawkins originally hinted that Allen and Steinfeld were getting married on May 31 during a March appearance on Good Morning Football. When asked about any upcoming weddings, Dawkins responded confidently, saying, “Josh Allen is one of those guys and he sealed that deal. And soon to come. May 31. It’s happening.”
However, Dawkins has since walked back those comments. During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show earlier this week, Eisen asked if Dawkins would be attending Allen’s wedding. Dawkins seemed surprised by the question and denied knowing anything about it.
“Is that coming up? I ain’t know nothing about that,” he said. “I have no idea what’s going on. We’re all here in Buffalo working out. I’ll give those guys a FaceTime call and see how everything is going, but I have no idea.”
Dawkins added that his focus was elsewhere—namely on relaxing and enjoying Buffalo wings—rather than wedding plans.
While he didn’t confirm whether he’d be at the wedding, Dawkins joked that his gift to Allen would be protecting him on the field.
“Josh can walk down the aisle in one piece, and be happy that he’s walking down the aisle with all fingers and all toes,” he quipped.
What We Know About the Allen-Steinfeld Wedding
Though no official wedding date has been confirmed, Allen and Steinfeld have kept most details under wraps since getting engaged in November 2024. According to Us Weekly, the couple doesn’t intend to have a lengthy engagement and has already begun planning.
“They don’t want a long engagement, and the wedding planning is already underway,” a source shared in March. “Hailee is very excited about the process, and now that Josh’s season is over, they hope to make more decisions together.”
The couple is reportedly exploring venues and finalizing logistics for what insiders describe as a “very intimate but extravagant” celebration.
They’re also looking ahead beyond the wedding.
“They’re both excited about starting a family in the next few years,” the source added. “They share the same values about parenting and raising children.”
