Von Miller Drawing Strong Interest from Three NFL Teams After Bills Release

As the 2025 NFL season nears, veteran edge rusher Von Miller is generating significant interest on the free agent market. Following his release by the Buffalo Bills in March, Miller is reportedly being eyed by three NFL teams, according to NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger. He revealed on the DNVR Broncos podcast that Miller’s agent, Joby Branion, informed him of the ongoing interest.

“Von believes there’s a solid chance he’ll sign before training camp,” Baldinger said. “He’s in great shape and likely wants to avoid the rigors of camp — as many seasoned veterans do.”

Miller showed noticeable improvement in 2024, bouncing back from a rough 2023 campaign caused by ACL recovery. In 13 games last season, he posted 17 tackles and six sacks.

Although there was talk of a possible return to Buffalo, that now seems off the table after the Bills signed Joey Bosa to fill Miller’s role.

Still, Miller’s free-agent value remains high. While the specific teams expressing strong interest haven’t been named officially, several franchises appear to be logical fits:

  • Detroit Lions: Dealing with injuries last year and lacking edge depth, the Lions are rumored to be pursuing veteran pass rushers and could see Miller as a short-term boost.

  • Chicago Bears: With Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo leading the pass rush, adding an experienced presence like Miller could help solidify their front in a make-or-break 2025 season.
  • Cincinnati Bengals: If Trey Hendrickson holds out, Miller might serve as a contingency option to maintain pass-rushing pressure.

As training camp approaches, the question now is not if Miller will sign, but where — and how soon. The 35-year-old Super Bowl champion still holds enough clout to impact a contender’s defense in 2025.
