BREAKING: Texas Are Massive Set Back As More Negative Injury Update Regarding Joc Pederson.

Rangers Suffer Blow as Joc Pederson Fractures Hand After Being Hit by Pitch

The Texas Rangers’ 10–5 defeat to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday proved costly beyond the scoreboard.

Designated hitter Joc Pederson sustained a fractured hand after being struck by an 87 mph cutter from Chicago’s Bryse Wilson in the fourth inning, manager Bruce Bochy confirmed postgame. Although Pederson remained in the game long enough to score and give Texas a 2–0 lead, the injury overshadowed any positives.

Joc Pederson injury opens door to long-awaited Rangers debut

Pederson, 33, joined the Rangers on a two-year, $37 million deal in December but has struggled to find his rhythm at the plate. In 45 games, he’s posted a disappointing .132/.266/.240 slash line with just two home runs and six RBIs.

This comes after a strong 2024 season with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where Pederson hit .275/.393/.515 with 23 homers and 64 RBIs. He also led the National League with 18 hit-by-pitches.

The Rangers, now 25–28, sit fourth in the AL West, trailing the division-leading Seattle Mariners by five games.
