
Bryce Brown Returns to Auburn as Assistant Coach, Reuniting with Tigers Basketball
Auburn, AL Auburn University has announced that former standout guard Bryce Brown will join the men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach, marking a significant homecoming for one of the program’s most celebrated players.
Brown, who played for the Tigers from 2015 to 2019, was instrumental in Auburn’s historic run to the Final Four in 2019. During his senior season, he set the program record for most 3-pointers in a career with 382 makes from beyond the arc .
After his collegiate career, Brown pursued professional basketball, including stints with the Maine Red Claws in the NBA G League and overseas teams such as Ironi Ness Ziona in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
Head Coach Bruce Pearl expressed enthusiasm about Brown’s return: “Bryce embodies the spirit and work ethic we value at Auburn. His experience as a player and his understanding of our program’s culture make him an invaluable addition to our coaching staff.”
Brown’s appointment comes as Auburn looks to build on its recent successes, including a 32–6 record and a Final Four appearance in the 2024–25 season . His familiarity with the program and firsthand experience in high-pressure games are expected to provide mentorship to current players navigating the challenges of SEC basketball.

In his new role, Brown will focus on player development, particularly honing the skills of the team’s guards, and will assist in recruiting efforts. His journey from a record-setting player to a coaching position at his alma mater serves as an inspiration to the Auburn community and underscores the program’s commitment to fostering talent both on and off the court.
