Miguel Cabrera’s Wife Finalizes Divorce Years After First Filing Attempt
Rosangel Cabrera, the longtime wife of former Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera, has officially ended her marriage to the baseball legend — eight years after first attempting to do so.
Rosangel initially filed for divorce back in 2017 but later reversed her decision and withdrew the case. However, according to TMZ, she filed again recently and this time followed through. A judge finalized the divorce on June 18, with court documents citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”

The couple had been married since 2002.
The initial filing in 2017 coincided with public revelations about Cabrera’s extramarital affair with Belkis Rodriguez. At the time, Rodriguez, the former mistress, had been pursuing increased financial support from Cabrera, alleging he fathered her two children.
Now 42 years old, Miguel Cabrera retired from playing at the conclusion of the 2023 MLB season. He remains with the Tigers organization in a front office role as a special assistant.
