Meanwhile, Spencer Torkelson has chipped in 19 home runs of his own, continuing to power the middle of the lineup.
Still, if the Tigers want to truly compete with the elite teams of October, they’ll likely need to bolster their pitching rotation — making a big trade ahead of the deadline not just possible, but likely.
